The RBIDZ procurement process seeks to ensure that all goods and services, in support of its daily business activities,  are secured at the lowest possible cost. This is done considering the quality of goods and services, whilst acting in a socially responsible manner in developing and supporting, small, medium and micro enterprises.

Procurement in the RBIDZ is motivated by the following pillars of Government Procurement:

  1. To advance Government priorities.

  2. To achieve value for money.

  3. To ensure ethical behaviour and integrity.

  4. To ensure transparency and accountability.

  5. To encourage open and effective competition.

  6. To ensure efficient, effective and ethical use of resources.

  7. To ensure that mandatory procurement procedures are adhered to.
