RBIDZ EXTENDS A HELPING HAND TO SANCA AND AMANGWE VILLAGE
RBIDZ EXTENDS ITS GRATITUDE TO SANCA AND AMANGWE VILLAGE
Intervening to common demands with an intention to contribute towards change in our societies, The Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone was once again proud to donate a total of 10 computers to both Amangwe Village, a non-profit organisation rendering developmental services mainly to communities within the UMfolozi Municipality boundaries and SANCA Zululand, a non-governmental organisation whose major objectives are the prevention and treatment of Alcohol and Drug Dependence.
The Amangwe Village staff could not retain the delight as the donation is a huge beginning for transformation for them, saving them from losing critical organisational records. This donation will increase the capacity of the organisation to monitor service delivery and the impact these services have in the community; said Amangwe Village’s General Manager, Erna Steynberg.
It is donations from sustainability partners like RBIDZ that empowers NPO’s to continue with developing communities and add value to the lives of people. Amangwe Village currently renders services to over 51,000 community members, and the donation could not have come to a deserving beneficiary.
Honoured for the pledge as well, was SANCA Zululand, stating that the donation has lifted a heavy burden off their shoulders as a whole, and having received such, they can now continue on their mission to fight against substance abuse.
There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude to the RBIDZ. As management we grow concern when we gather for meetings and receive reports on dysfunctional equipment in the office, which affects operations, said SANCA Zululand’s Chairman Bonginkosi Mnguni.
The donation is a contribution towards the ongoing fight against drugs and substance abuse and a symbol of continued support on addressing constructive communal expectations as the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone.
