TAKING ACTION TO INSPIRE OUR COMMUNITIES IN HONOUR OF TATA MANDELA

Giving back and contributing to projects aimed at sustaining and developing our communities is the stance that the RBIDZ collectively took and joined forces with the world to commemorate the Nelson Mandela International Day on the 18th of July 2017.

On the quest to give a helping hand and pledge towards 67 minutes, the RBIDZ visited Madlanzini Village to offer assistance towards the construction of the community multi-purpose centre, which is sponsored by the RBIDZ through the Corporate Social Investment Programme. On its completion the skills centre will drastically change the lives of the community mainly the youth and women that are forever facing challenges of possessing the necessary arming skills for employment.

The involvement which exceeded more than 67 minutes was duly worth a while and portrayed an indication of selfless giving by the RBIDZ staff who partook in the call of action creating a ray of hope for the community at large, specifically the youth and women who are in the struggle of poising themselves for better employment opportunities.

As if the active involvement at Mandlazini Village  was not enough for the RBIDZ  team, they further collaborated on a door to door campaign with the Nseleni Community Health Centre donating valuable household items like  food parcels, blankets ,homeware and toiletries to the needy families mostly headed by children and  sickly pensioners.

Witnessing  the day to day challenges that our communities live under we are motivated to keep Tata Mandela’s legacy alive and activate efforts to fight poverty and develop opportunities that will change the lives of our communities through skills development and empowerment.
